Book Review: FIRE by Kristin Cashore

Fire by Kristin Cashore Released: October 2009 Publisher: Dial Books for Young Readers Format: ebook and audiobook Source: Hennepin County Library Get the Book: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Borders … and don’t forget your local library! Read a summary from Goodreads! Fictitious Delicious Rating: 5 I adored this book!  I loved it even more than GRACELING (though I can understand if not everyone feels this way).  Fire’s character is not very endearing at the beginning, but I think one of the main strengths of this book is how realistically Fire grows as a person.  I often get tired of themes or life-lessons being stated so obviously that it’s as if the characters are stepping out of the […]

You can bet your last piece of penny candy that we were at the rescheduled Richelle Mead signing that took place in Minneapolis on Sunday, May 22, 2011. For those of you not able to make it to the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”, here’s what happened. The event started with a reading from Chapter 1 of BLOODLINES and Richelle confirmed that the entire book is written in First Person POV in the voice of Sydney.   Amy did a sweet job of holding her camera still enough to capture the actual reading.  Check it out! Doesn’t this just make the waiting almost worse?!?!  It is going to be a real treat to see the world through Sydney’s eyes.  […]
